Welcome to your Music Virtual Classroom!
In this unit we will be learning about theme music from movies.
You will be listening and analysing music and composing your own movie theme.
Have you seen the movie "The Incredibles"? We are going to analyse the theme song to learn how the composer combined music elements to make it sound incredible! This is to help you learn how to compose your own movie theme which is your assessment for this unit.
Along the way you will play musical instruments, sing, clap, and use technology to experiment with music elements to compose your theme.
By the end of this unit you will be able to:
- Experiment with texture and timbre in sound sources using aural skills (ACAMUM092)
- Develop musical ideas, such as mood, by improvising, combining and manipulating the elements of music (ACAMUM093)
- Structure compositions by combining and manipulating the elements of music using notation (ACAMUM095)
- Analyse composers' use of the elements of music and stylistic features when listening to and interpreting music (ACAMUR097)
